Original Settings

Modern/Slice of Life

Among my favorite genres for original roleplay settings, SoL is my go-to genre for feel-good stories for the most part. I’m down to do either college or working adult life as subsettings, and I am quite fond of playing as foreign characters for these types of settings, such as foreign exchange students for example. Additionally, I’m unopposed to a higher degree of drama/conflict if you prefer it that way.

Post-Apocalyptic

Whether it be zombies, mutants, aliens, or against other humans in a plain old ‘survival of the fittest’ type of situation, I am down! My personal favorite are zombies, often going with slow-moving shamblers that’s closer to Romero-style zombie behavior. The characters that I play usually have a background in law enforcement or military, which makes them pretty capable dudes.

Sci-Fi

I am very much into space opera-style settings. Space exploration is a fun aspect to write about, and the amount of worldbuilding that one can pour into a single roleplay is limitless. The idea of being in the near-future able to go to different star systems is very enticing to me. An aspect that I tend to bring up is whether humans are the only existing sentient species, or if there are any other alien species, as I usually prefer the former in sci-fi plots.

Historical

The timelines that I am into the most are World War One (WW1) and World War Two (WW2), moreso the latter. I have no preference for the setting to be located either in the European front or the Pacific front. Generally, the historical setting is often tied with military themes, as my characters are mostly soldiers from differing backgrounds.

Fantasy

High fantasy is specifically my forte for fantasy settings, but I am unopposed to doing low fantasy or medieval fantasy as well. I will say that fantasy is my weakest genre for roleplay, in particular when it comes to the worldbuilding aspect, so I hope anybody who is interested in doing fantasy doesn’t mind taking the reins when it comes to that haha. That being said, I am down to brainstorm and contribute ideas, as I wouldn’t want to leave you being overwhelmed somewhat. I will admit that I am pretty much into the idea of playing against female adventurers or female knights, as my characters are usually also adventurers or knights. Sometimes they’re royalty. Or both.

Military

This usually ties with WW1/WW2 but I am also interested in contemporary/modern military settings. I am quite the nerd when it comes to military equipment in particular, but I do hope that isn’t a deterrent to anyone who is interested in an action-focused roleplay. We have the option of doing either infantry or special forces, so feel free to hit me up if you have a plot in mind!
